The new harness styles leash for the dogs are not ideal for training purpose at all. The problem with these is that the harness sits on the chest of the dog which is their strongest part of the body, so they get the leverage over you here.

These leashes are less effective in sending signals and controlling the dog. So try to buy a usual collar leash. These simple leashes are great to control the dog and train it. You can train leash language to the dog effectively with a normal leash rather than a fancy one.
